Facilitation & Teaching.

I have been delivering drama and creative writing workshops for over a decade, working with children, young people and adults across the North East and Greater Manchester.

I have collaborated with organisations including New Writing North, Northern Stage, Live Theatre, Mortal Fools, Girlhood UK, Studio Within and Stagecoach Performing Arts, as well as schools, colleges and community groups.

My workshops are rooted in creativity, confidence and well-being, and can be tailored to suit different ages, settings and needs. I deliver sessions in schools, cultural venues and community spaces, for groups or one-to-one, both in person and online. I can be flexible with both content and fee.

Young Writers Workshops (ages 7–18)

I have experience working with many different youth groups and organisations to create original work that is meaningful and engaging.

My writing approach with young people is rooted solely in co-creation. Whether it's original theatre, short films, audio pieces, or work rooted in youth voice and activism, I place their words, ideas and thoughts at the heart of everything we make.

My young writers workshops can be adapted for any project; offering a practical blend of fun engaging drama activities and reflective creative writing.

Young people will build confidence, discover their unique perspective, and learn how their creativity can make real impact.

Writing From Lived Experience

All my writing has been inspired from my own lived experience and then thrown in front of an audience. This can be an empowering process, but also a terrifying one, and I've made a lot of mistakes along the way.

In these workshops I share these mistakes to help you avoid them.

These workshops create a gentle, supportive space to explore writing drawn from personal experience, and how you as an artist can separate yourself from your art.

With guidance, practical tools, and plenty of care, we will explore how making work about yourself can actually be about everyone else.

This workshop is best suited to creative professionals making work for live audiences, e.g. theatre-makers and/or live artists.

Creative Writing For Any Setting

I believe everyone has the power to be creative, they might just not have the time or the space.

Expect playful prompts and imaginative exercises; you will be invited to let go of pressure and explore your creativity freely.

These workshops can be tailored to any theme and/or event.

Writing-for-wellness Walks

I lead writing for wellbeing walks in and around the Lake District & Peak District.

These workshops offer something a little different from the usual indoor setup—they take place outdoors, as part of a guided community walk.

Designed to support participants' wellbeing, each workshop encourages connection with the natural environment and local surroundings through creative writing.

Participants are provided with a walking route, notepad, and pen, and are guided through the countryside with designated stops along the way for reflection and writing.

These workshops are open to anyone who loves being outdoors and wants to connect with nature, with others, and with themselves through creative writing.

Workshops are available for group bookings of up to 10 participants.

These workshops are especially suited for team days or friendship groups celebrating special occasions.

Literacy Support

An estimated 183,450 16-year-old students in England did not achieve a grade 4 or above in English Language in 2025.

I offer tailored creative writing tutoring to young people who want to boost their grades in their English language GCSE.

By building confidence and nurturing imagination, I support my students in ways that feel accessible, engaging, and personal to them.

Each session is thoughtfully tailored to suit individual needs, ensuring every student feels supported in their own learning journey.

Students are introduced to key creative writing techniques, carefully designed to strengthen their skills and support success in their English Language GCSE.

I can deliver this tutoring in schools as well as on an individual basis.
